To Love A Dragon.

Violet knelt down by her Dragon reaching out to gently stroke his head as he equally as gently settled it on her lap with a deep sigh.

Violet chuckled "Why the big sigh Venn?"

Venn sighed again before saying "Violet, why do you stay with me? You could be married and have a family by now!"

Chuckling Violet replied "You old fool; I love you! I am quite happy here with you! Do you not wish for me to stay?"

Venn nodded slightly "I do wish for you to be happy dear, not tucked away here with me!"

Violet smiled "Well if you had been honest with me from the beginning there would be no need for this conversation!"

Lifting his head Venn stared at her, looking as surprised as a Dragon could!

She chuckled leaning forward to give his nose a kiss saying "If you had not wasted all these years we could have married and maybe had a family!"

He gasped as she added "I know!! Why you felt you had to keep it a secret, I do not know, but yes you miserable bugger; I have known for many years that you could change into a man!"

Venn moved up and away with a shake before turning back to say "Why did you not say?"

Violet smiled "I felt you had your reasons. I did not want to upset you by probing and felt you would in your own time. I was content to wait. I grew to love you as you are Venn, finding out you could change was a bonus, but as your Dragon you are spectacular, beautiful and loved by all who come into contact with you! Why you chose to hide the man, I do not know and can but hope you will tell me now!"

He walked off shaking himself as Violet also stood walking towards the large set of lounge chairs, sitting waiting for Venn.

Venn paced the room, his thoughts racing with guilt at not having told Violet, or that he too loved her!!

Violet looked up with a gasp having picked up those unguarded thoughts saying "You do? Really?"

He halted his pacing to turn to her "You read that?"

Violet smiled "Yes my love, I've always been able to read most of your thoughts!"

Venn dropped his head then walked over to Violet semi sitting in front of her lowering his head with eyes closing briefly until he felt Violets touch.

Violet gently stroked his silky skin and said "You old fool! You have wasted so much time my lovely Dragon! I do hope you will make it up to me?"

He nudged her hands before he replied "My beautiful love, I will. I'm so sorry for not trusting in your love given so freely; regardless of how I appear! I knew the man would appeal to many but I have only ever loved you Violet! You accepted me as I am, as the Dragon; put up with me all these years, with my stubborn, pig headed ways!"

Violet laughed "Oh Venn! Of course I love you, loved you before I caught you changing! How you appear has never had any bearing on that you silly old Dragon! But will you accept me now, as more than just your best mate? Will you let me into that pig headed heart and mind of yours totally?"

Venn chuckled now "Yes my love; you were always there! I was just an old fool for not trusting you, letting you up till now! Can you ever forgive me Violet?"

Violet chuckled hugging his head with a kiss saying "When you change and give me a very big long overdue 'proper' hug and kiss!"

Venn laughed with a lovely deep sexy rumble and a nudge backing away as she watched him start to shimmer in a beautiful soft purple haze. Within seconds there stood the man she had seen many times secretly, wearing loose fitting trousers and shirt that still showed what a powerful man he was! He wore just a hint of a nervous smile, unsure what she would do now!

Violet walked over to him, placing her hands on his chest, enjoying the quiver she felt as she moved them up, enjoying the heat he oozed.

Chuckling she said "You still look amazing Venn, a beautiful male and hopefully all mine?"

Venn smiled swiftly picking her up in his arms, kissing her senseless as he hugged her tightly, as if she'd vanish!

She grinned when finally allowed to breathe and said "I take it that is a yes?"

Venn sighed "Oh god yes my love! You are mine and no others! Why do you think I remained as my Dragon around all those who visited! They feared the Dragon and knew I was possessive of you!"

Violet laughed as he held her still "I did my beautiful Dragon! That was rather mean of you despite how I've always felt about you!"

He smiled "So my love, will you finally marry this old Dragon?"

She laughed "I would have in the beginning! But yes my Dragon; I will 'finally' marry you Venn and as the man too!"

Venn grinned replying "Yes love! I'm sure you will always remind me of my error in not being totally honest with you! Thank you for loving me through the years and still!"

Violet traced his face pushing back his hair and with a kiss said "I will always love you Venn, you have always completed my soul, now my life! I just had to wait for a stubborn old Dragon to let me in!"

He rolled his eyes then stopped further comments with a rather passionate, your mine kiss!

Violet chuckled "You have a lot to make up for my Dragon!"

He groaned "I do my love and always will!"
